In this entry, you’ll be introduced to Tanisha Drummer, a Strategy professional and former Management Consultant. Tanisha is a friend of mine from my years at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and has done some really interesting things in her career. Tanisha is a former Management Consultant in Accenture’s Strategy Practice, where she focused on Marketing strategy for 4 years before business school and 1.5 years afterward. Recently, I was approached by the team at Campus Splash and asked to write an article targeted at college students to offer some tips on how they could prepare to create a great MBA application. As all of you know, this is a topic that I’m pretty passionate about, so I jumped at the opportunity. Recently, I had a great email exchange with one of my college classmates about the role that personal branding can play in one’s career search. She is starting up her own job search and is deciding on how to best present her experiences, qualifications, and interests to new contacts and/or potential employers. This is something about which I’ve thought a lot, so it was like the words just flew through my fingers on this one.
