Kaneisha is a long-time member of the MBA blogosphere, starting with her personal blog back in the day when she was approaching the MBA application process. She ended up gaining admission to a joint MBA/MPA program at Harvard and, during her time at Harvard, she became a relationship and dating advisor and launched Crazy Girl Nation, a site providing advice on love, happiness, and life to single women. Soon after her graduation from Harvard, Kaneisha launched an admissions consultancy called The Art of Applying to help people with “interesting stories” get into top business schools. Now, she can add the titles of “entrepreneur” and “admissions consultant” to her previous titles of “blogger”, “talk show hostess”, and international woman of mystery

When I started the Conversations interview series, I KNEW that I had to profile Kaneisha because she’s had such an interesting path in a relatively short time in the business world. Having first “met” her over 5 years ago, I have been amazed at what she’s been able to accomplish since then. Her story is especially great because she approached the MBA application process as a non-traditional candidate coming right out of undergrad with no quant background. Those of you who are either currently applying to business school or plan to apply in the future should take note of what she has to say.
