I’m particularly intrigued by Twitter because of is meteoric rise in popularity and its ubiquity in our society today. I know several people who have been able to develop fantastic brand identity through the use of 140-character strings. People from celebrities to corporate executives to regular people are using Twitter to share their thoughts with the world. Who would have thought that something like this would have been possible a couple of years ago. Gotta love the way that technology enables us to get closer and closer to each other.
I’m also mentioning Twitter because it is the foundation upon which the article that I’m featuring in this entry is based. The article referenced below comes to us from the folks at OnlineDegree.net and lays out a collection of CEO Twitter feeds that are worthy of being followed. The founder of that OnlineDegree.net, Anna Miller, recently reached out to me to share the article because she thought it could be of interest to my reader base and, after reading it, I would wholeheartedly agree. Those you who are interested in learning about how some members of the CEO community think might want to check this article out and start following a few of the folks listed.

Intro text for the article:
Whether you are one, work for one, or would someday like to be one, CEOs are some of the most powerful and influential leaders of today’s society. These Chief Executive Officers turn peanut-sized startups into juggernauts that have changed the way we surf, shop, donate, drink, and more.
It only gets better if you are one of the millions who have a Twitter account. Integrate your love of social networking with your passion for the above by checking out the 25 CEOs you should follow on Twitter. Listed mostly by number of current followers, they contain some well-known and lesser-known names.

See. I told you so many times. Better be Late than Never. Leverage the power of “140 chars”. Whether you are using Internet or phone, a lot of applications give you the freedom to stay in touch with the world with just 14 characters. You remember the plane crash at Hudson River. The news came on twitter first before any news channel could break it. In fact, the first picture also came on twitter. Today, twitter is the fastest and easiest medium of communication – no matter whether you are building your brand or informing your well-being to your near and dear ones. Remember, Tweet-ups and Twestival. They are just some simple examples which were very effective and convincing. Moreover, its short and sweet – just 140 characters. Almost all Deans of B-Schools and the b-schools, themselves leverage on the reach of twitter and you know that.
Happy Tweeting, Marquis. Will eagerly wait for Marquis going Public on his daily information sharing, statuses and thoughts.
