Hey, everyone. I’m posting a quick mini-entry from good ol’ VA to inform you of a couple of resource that you might find useful. I know that this blog is a pretty daggone useful resource on its own, but I’m all about passing along good info if it might be helpful to my readers. So, without further delay…

The first resource is a new blog called Management Consulted, written by a Stanford undergrad alum and former McKinsey consultant named Kevin G. In his blog, Kevin breaks down the nuts and bolts of life as a management consultant and gives a lot of tips about how one can move into the industry. As I read through his entries, I noticed that he touches on many of the topics that I’ve covered over the years on here, but the difference is that his entire site is focused on management consulting. I hope that some of you interested in becoming consultants will find his site to be helpful. You can find the site at Management Consulted.

The second resource is a new site called InterviewBay.com that I recently discovered that matches prospective B-school students with alums of top B-school programs to provide mock interviews. I found this to be a very intriguing offering that would help many of my blog readers, so I just had to pass it on to y’all. The link to the site is InterviewBay.com and you can also get to it by using the InterviewBay widget in the right-hand navigation bar on this blog.

I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to post another entry before Thursday, but, just in case I don’t, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. Please use this time to show your families and loved ones how much they mean to you. Whatever you do, don’t take the people in your lives for granted because you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone…

Thanks Marquis for the great blog and the link. Enjoy your holiday break and good luck with the new job/path out in Chicago.
Are you crazy? How much money this interview bay guy is giving you? They have sent me an email as well asking me to let them advertise on my blog.
You should be careful in advertising like this.
I remember you advertising about some Standford secret book from josh. That was another useless book.
To the anonymous person who so boldly wrote to insult Marquis, I say to you … Why would you take a stab at a person who has given so much to the world? He has voluntarily opened up his life, given his time, energy, advice and friendship to many. It is your choice whether or not you choose to read this blog or any other blog, and to even check out suggested links. Your viewpoint may be different from his but should that give you the right to belittle his intelligence? I pray that he will not take this comment to heart and others will continue to use him as a wealth of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. May we all see beyond the barriers that try to slow us down, that try to discredit, that try to belittle and remain focused whole-heartedly on the positive … there’s enough negative already floating around. I am proud to call this “crazy” guy my son … Marquis … keep doing what you’re doing. Everybody will not agree with you … but … keep doing what you’re doing! And yes … this mom does read his blog and yes … I am very protective.
