What’s going on, everyone. I hope you’re all having a nice weekend. I’m about to crash for the evening, but I wanted to write a quick entry to comment about two things…so, here I go:
1. I don’t know how many of you are comedy fans, but anyone who tracks comedy was likely as saddened as I was to hear about the passing of Bernie Mac earlier this morning. I’ve been a huge fan of that guy since his first appearance on Def Comedy Jam over 15 years ago. He had a way of relating to people through his performances on stage, in the movies, and on TV that could make a person feel like he/she really knew him. And, I could tell he had that connection with others by all of the Facebook status changes dedicated to his memory throughout the day. The entertainment world lost a great one today…RIP Bernie Mac!
2. OK, from the sadness of Bernie Mac to a young person with some great plans from the future. So, y’all know how I’m a huge fan of people mapping out their career and educational goals from a young age, right? Well, I found one who recently started a blog of his own and I just knew I had to mention him on here. His name is Josh and he’s an undergrad at TCU with a desire to move into business school straight out of undergrad. I came across his site after finding a reference to it in my Google Analytics report and saw that he gave me a shout-out in his first entry…I don’t write this blog to get attention, but I’ll be daggoned if it doesn’t make me smile when I get shout-outs
Anyways, I really like what he’s got planned for himself and I wanted to help drive some traffic to his site so others can learn from his path. You can find his site at –> Josh’s weblog: From undergrad to we’ll see…. Also, I’m going to add a link to his site on here, so people can find it later on.
