What’s good, y’all. I hope you’re having a good week. I’m writing a quick post to pass along some information that might be useful to those of you planning to apply to B-school this year.
By now, you’ve seen references to a couple of blog entries written by my man Jullien, right? Well, he works for an organization called Management Leadership for Tomorrow that helps diverse candidates on their quest to get into business school. He just emailed me about an entry he posted on the MLT blog to provide assistance to applicants doing initial research on business schools. He collected a ton of information about the top business schools from BusinessWeek.com and compiled it all into a spreadsheet that can be downloaded from his blog entry. You can access it at –>

I recently ran into your blog and I cannot stress how helpful it is in providing pointers and tips about the MBA process. I am a future applicant for Fall 2009, and had a few questions for you. I noticed on your site that you mentioned MLT. I am in the process of applying for MLT right now, and would like to know what your experiences have been with the program. Any information would be very helpful.
Also, I am a 30-year old, AA, female candidate. I have an “ok” GPA (3.12), but have major fears about the GMAT as I am seriously struggling with the math aspects of the test. I would still like to apply to programs in the top 20. What are some of your suggestions for what I can do now (a year out) to bolster my application (aside from taking quantitative classes, etc.) Would be happy to discuss via e-mail.
