Hi Rajat,

This blog is indeed still active, but I take a little longer to respond to emails because I am so busy at work. If you send your questions via email, i'll get to it eventually, but it may take me a while.

Angsu, I DEFINITELY believe this answer to be relevant and don't see it ever losing its relevance in the future. The consulting industry took a bit of a hit over the past couple of years because of the down economy, but the fundamentals of the industry and its presence as a learning lab for business are still there. As a techie, consulting offers a great way to step out of a detailed technical career track and open one's self up to other areas of the business world. Every day, I meet former teachers, techies, and other people who have been able to move into the business world by moving into consulting first.

Hope this helps!

Hi Marquis,
Is this answer still relevant? I am a techie and am planning to move into consulting after my MBA. How do you see consulting as a career now?

Thanks,
