OK, this is going to be a pretty short entry, but I thought it was worth it to give a shout out to the Bay area for being my home for the past two years. I’m going to be flying back to ATL on Monday and that’ll be the official end to my life in Palo Alto. It took me a while to get used to being out here and I was really nervous about being so far away from all my family, but I had a great two years here and I’m actually going to miss this place. It seems like it was yesterday when i was making that long 3000+ mile drive from VA to here and now I’m on my way back east…time ruly flies when you’re having fun and learning a lot.
By the way, have I mentioned how hard it is to move cross country??? Goodness!!! I’ve finally got all my stuff out there and all I’ve got to do is take my suitcase back to ATL, but the new airport security regulations are going to make that somewhat simple task a chore. In the past day or so, I’ve been going back and making a count of the cost of this move…good lawd!!! I thought I was moving in the cheapest way possible and I still believe that to be true, but I didn’t factor in how much I’d spend on other things this summer. I wish i’d saved a little more money to live off of this summer, but I’ll just take this as a lesson in case I ever get a summer off again…hahahahahahahaha, like that’ll ever happen. For those of you who are currently or will soon be business school students, make sure that you start stashing $$$ away as early as possible so you can rest easy as you approach your first day of work. It sure will be nice when McKinsey lays that first paycheck on me.

you cant really say that your life in Palo Alto has ended. who knows where life may take you next, things arent always as easy to predict as we like them to be.
Good Luck at ATL and the Firm.
